Strengthen Your Program. Add Capacity.

Co-Facilitation Services for Immersive Programs

HFF partners with retreats, wellness programs, experiential organizations, and other mission-driven providers to add trained, supervised co-facilitators to their existing programs. These professionals work alongside the organization’s lead facilitators to provide social-emotional support, help create containment during vulnerable or emotionally activated moments, support corrective emotional experiences, and strengthen the relational environment of the program.

Their role is clearly defined as supportive rather than therapeutic; they do not provide psychotherapy within the immersive experience, and participants who need clinical care are supported through appropriate referral pathways.

Co-facilitation gives organizations a practical way to strengthen participant support without requiring the founder or lead facilitator to personally hold every aspect of the experience. With additional trained personnel available, program leaders can remain focused on delivering the core experience while co-facilitators attend to group dynamics, emotional needs, participant engagement, transitions, and moments that require additional grounding or support.

For organizations, this creates several opportunities for sustainable growth:

  • Expand program capacity: Serve larger groups or offer programs more frequently without placing all responsibility on one lead facilitator.
  • Strengthen the participant experience: Add a layer of social-emotional support that can help participants feel seen, supported, and safely held throughout the experience.
  • Protect the integrity of the program: Clearly defined roles, boundaries, safeguards, and referral procedures help distinguish supportive co-facilitation from informal therapy.
  • Increase consistency: A shared co-facilitation process makes the participant experience less dependent on the intuition or availability of a single founder or senior facilitator.
  • Develop future leaders: Organizations can build a pathway for additional facilitators to learn the program, assume responsibility, and eventually support expansion.
  • Add value to existing offerings: Enhanced participant support can strengthen the perceived quality and professionalism of retreats, workshops, and immersive programs.
  • Create new revenue opportunities: Greater staffing capacity may allow organizations to increase enrollment, add program dates, introduce higher-support offerings, or develop new experiences that would not be feasible with the existing team alone.
  • Support sustainable growth: By distributing responsibility across trained roles, organizations can expand while reducing dependence on the founder and preserving the qualities that make the program effective.

HFF can provide co-facilitators on-site at the partner’s location and, where appropriate, through two-way video conferencing. As partnerships develop, we can also help organizations explore internal co-facilitator training so that the supportive role becomes an integrated and replicable part of their own program model.

The central benefit is simple: co-facilitation helps organizations increase the level of support they provide while creating the staffing structure needed to grow their reach, capacity, and revenue responsibly.
