HFF provides structured field experience and practicum opportunities for emerging mental health professionals in California. Trainees develop practical skills through traditional, office-based therapy, client outreach, advocacy, and community engagement.

Depending on training level and placement needs, experience may include:
Responsibilities increase as trainees demonstrate readiness, competence, and professional growth.

Trainees receive group supervision, feedback, and guidance as they develop their clinical judgment and professional identity. Our goal is to help each trainee connect academic learning with responsible, real-world practice. We have a maximum of 4 trainees per conhort.

Field experience is primarily based in traditional clinical and community settings. Separate co-facilitation opportunities in retreats and other immersive programs may become available as HFF develops program partnerships.
Learn to create the conditions for healing.

HFF placements combine hands-on experience, group supervision, and progressive responsibility. We look for trainees who are ready to learn, receive feedback, and contribute thoughtfully to client and community care.
Trainees must be prepared to:
HFF works with universities to review placement requirements, learning objectives, supervision needs, and hour classifications. Final approval depends on alignment between HFF, the trainee, and the academic program.
Virtual supervision is available throughout California for highly qualified, self-directed trainees who are ready to work with greater independence. This option combines structured clinical supervision with the opportunity to help extend HFF’s reach into new communities. Ideal candidates are motivated to build local relationships, support access to care, and represent HFF’s mission with professionalism and initiative.

We welcome inquiries from students and emerging professionals seeking supervised clinical experience, client outreach, advocacy, and professional development.

The Healing Fields Model Co-Facilitation Course prepares therapists, facilitators, guides, educators, and wellness professionals to support participants within retreats and other immersive experiences.
Unlike a modality-based course, this training does not certify participants in a single therapeutic technique. It teaches a structured co-facilitation process and prepares participants for a clearly defined role.
Participants learn how to:
The course connects knowledge with practical responsibility. Participants learn not only what supports transformation, but also how to function ethically, consistently, and collaboratively within an immersive program.
This training may support:
Completion of the course does not independently guarantee placement in an HFF partner program. Co-facilitation opportunities depend on readiness, supervision, program needs, and partnership availability.
Prepare for a role, not a modality.
